Sketch-Up! The Start to a pool?

In the last couple of days Mr. Banting has begun teaching us how to use a program called Google Sketch-Up so that we could begind designing a pool. We began designing our pools the next day, starting with sketchs and blue printst to decide on dementions ect. We were also allowed the computers to experiment with our designs, over the next couple of days we perfected the design and began to finally really model the pool. It took Levi and myself about 3 classes to get the design down pat for our pool. Finally today we finished and are ready to hand it in :)

Final Pop-Box design

Our final pop box design was relatively simple, it was basically the same as a regualr coke box, except we added a slant and sacrificed a can to save space.
Our net -

The net is probably the part of the project that took the most time due to the fact that we had to find the dimensions and get them measured on the paper accurately and add the glue tabs in before cutting it out and tracing it onto the poster board.
Our box-
The box as you saw in the net was relatively simple looking. This is the put together product with a flap open to put cans in.

This is the finished product laid out next to the coke box. As you can see it is a fraction smaller then the original box therefore making it slightly more effecient.

That is the end of our pop-box assignment, my group and myself are very happy with what we've brought to the table and are very proud of our work.

Pop-box-redesign

The past week or so our class has been given the challed on redesigning coke boxes, yupp. Banting is putting cans of pop infront of his 11th graders and expecting them not to dissapearing. It's not going well. I'm working with two other people on this assignment, Levi and Autumn. Levi and I generally always work together on assignments, but this is the first time either of us have worked with Autumn, it's going really great, we've fiddled with our design a bit  and finally settled on one. We're almost done with the net, tomorrow is looking like it's going to be our last day then it's back to business as usual in class.

End of Poster assignment

Levi and I ended our poster assignment easily (: our idea touched on a lot of 'niftyness' as it was incredibly original and didn't seem to have been done before. Though as always there was some things that could have been done better, we're very proud of our pokemon poster.

Day 2 - Educational Poster

Today, Levi and I finished laying out the idea for our poster! We're super excited to get home and print everything off so we can put it on our poster! We have a great idea and we can't wait to see the reaction, we made a QR code for the just in-case they don't understand what the poster says. We're keeping what we're doing a secret from Banting :3

Poster Assignment :3

Today we started a poster assignment, we're supposed to be making math posters about a solid. I'm working in a group with Levi yet again and we got the shape of a sphere. We've decided on a pretty awesome theme but I'm not gonna give any spoilers ! :p We've been given 3 classes to essentially finish the project. After some photoshop, our template should be ready to start having info put into it. I can't wait to start! It's going to be awesome and 'nifty' :D

The End of Crestfront

So, last week we finished our crestfront projects, I went from working alone to working with Levi like usual. Pretty much we just combined our 2 cars into 1 powerpoint, it was a pretty awesome idea and I'm looking forward to pottentially doing more projects like it in the future
